  • What is an Administrative Service Organization (ASO)?

    An ASO is a service-based business dedicated to providing human resources, payroll, employee benefits and commercial insurance administrative services for businesses. Some ASO’s focus on a few of these services, but SimcoHR makes it easy to include them all, and at half the price as a professional employer organization (PEO).


    What makes us unique is each of our clients receive prompt and professional friendly service from one point of contact, or as we call them, your Business Partner.  Our systems, process and technology are backed by professional and personalized service–which allows you to manage your business more efficiently and save you time.

  • Is there an a la carte option for your services?

    Yes.  Some businesses use us just for NYS mandated sexual harassment training, drug testing, employee handbooks, background checks or labor law posters.  Some just use our HR administrative services.  If you need assistance in a more specific area, just give us a call or visit our SimcoHR Shop.  We have the professionals in place to get you what you need.

  • How do we get started?

    We’re happy you asked!  One of our managers will have a conversation with you to help match you with the right tools and processes you are looking for—from a robust HR Pro Package (our most popular and cost-effective option) to choosing a more specific path based on your unique business needs and to accomplish your goals.  


    They’ll come back with a proposal so you can make sure everything you need is correct, and what the costs and payment terms are, then we’ll be ready to start the process of getting you set up with SimcoHR.  We’ll be there to help you from start to finish.  Once you’re set up, your SimcoHR Business Partner will be your day-to-day contact anytime you need them.

  • What types of businesses use SimcoHR?

    Our clients range from small to medium sized mom-and-pop shops and not-for-profits to large industries and various service organizations. We work with you as your partner to tailor the services you need to perform the administrative tasks of managing your employees.

  • Is it easy to switch payroll companies?

    While switching payroll providers on your own can be challenging, SimcoHR will walk you through the entire process from start to finish, assisting the whole way to make sure it is a seamless transition.

  • If we already have an HR person or HR Department, how can SimcoHR help?

    If you have an HR Department or someone who is in charge of HR, such as a manager, SimcoHR can help.  Our HR Specialists are available to help answer the tough questions, keep you compliant, provide annual HR assessments, and decrease your frustration and worry.  We proactively inform you on laws and regulations so you can be ready, prepared, and compliant.  SimcoHR can be more cost effective than hiring more HR employees at your business. 

  • Do you need an in-house HR person or HR Department to use SimcoHR?

    No. If you do not have anyone in an official HR role, most likely you have several individuals managing HR as needed or reactively.  SimcoHR will be proactively informing you of what you need to stay in compliance, inform you of new laws and regulations so you can be ready, and be there to answer any tough HR questions that arise.  If you lack the time, expertise, or resources necessary to handle your HR employee challenges, give us a call.  

  • Do I lose control of my business using an ASO?

    No.  ASO’s provide expertise and efficiencies that cannot be obtained in-house and become your business partner.  Outsourcing HR to an ASO still means you ultimately retain all employment responsibility and gain a partner to help you administer HR services.

  • Does my business have to be in New York State to use SimcoHR?

    No.  We have clients who have their business in multiple states and partner with SimcoHR.

  • How does SimcoHR save me time?
